We’ve seen announcements in the past hour or so that the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme has been extended for a further month.

It was due to run until the end of May – i.e. March, April and May, but now its running till the end of June following the extension of lockdown measures.

At the time of writing HM Government Guidance isn’t updated to reflect this.

Earlier today the CBI called for an extension, and CityAM are reporting the Treasury as having agreed to this.
