Another Scam to Watch For

Scams seem to get more sophisticated each day?

This one looked genuine, as it came from the hosting company I use.

However:

• The email address they sent to isn’t registered with them
• There was no notification in the email that is registered with them
• The sending email is subtly altered “vip-“
• When I logged into my dashboard using clean credentials, unsurprisingly there are no invoices due for payment

Its quite convincing though – and credit to the scammers for identifying which web host I use and back spoofing.

Always be very careful on line, and check and double check emails. This one almost caught me.
