Making Tax Digital for Yoga Businesses

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax Self Assessment (“MTD”) comes in for from April 2026.
Initially it applies to Sole Traders with combined turnover and property income (rents) over £50,000 per annum.
This threshold reduces to £30,000 and £20,000 over coming years, meaning all but the smallest Sole traders will be caught.
In this seminar we will touch on:

- Difference between turnover and profit
- Requirements on mandated businesses
- How the cycle works
- Choosing software
- Time for questions

Self Assessment and Tax Basics for Yoga Businesses

In this seminar we will look at the basics of the UK tax system as it effects small businesses.
In particular we will look at:
- Different business structures
- Registration requirements
- Self Assessment process
- Keeping records for tax
- Deducting expenses
- How your tax bill is calculated
- How payments on account work
- Time for questions
This webinar is relevant to all business owners, but focuses on smaller businesses in the Yoga and wellbeing sector.
